THE DIRT – the buzz around town
i’ve lived in the south end for almost three years now, and am just finally realizing how much style the neighborhood has to offer. i’ve been so preoccupied with the ever-changing (for the good) foodie scene, that i forgot to explore my other passion – shopping! townies and tourists alike instantly flock to boston’s back bay area when they have an itch to spend some cash … but i’m realizing, why spend your well-earned money at boring chain stores that have the same old thing, when unique and adorable boutiques with never-seen-anything-like-it clutches, hats, belts, dresses, lamps, you name it are just down the street!
i’ve uncovered so many great little places, i’m thinking i may need to do a little min-series on all of them. but in the meantime, i have to tell you about these new refurbished vintage bags i found at parlor on washington st. they’re by shara porter and are this perfect mix of beautiful old leather (shiek) and small, delicate country prints (hip). i’ve pretty much dedicated my life to finding the perfect bag, and these come close to fitting the bill. they’re vintage / classic / country which just might the perfect combo (for me, anyways).

Have you checked out Motley? I love their t-shirts and the little odds and ends that they have there.
i walk by it all the time … always thought it was just a guy’s store! i’ll definitely check it out! thanks xo
